woodsboard: England - Morris Minor
bewitchingbritain: The countryside is Derbyshire; and a Morris Minor is the car, just to clarify if you are not a native.  More than 1.3 million of these quintessentially English cars were manufactured between 1948 and 1971; and the “Moggie” (or Morrie, in Australia and New Zealand)still inspires great affection, as reflected by the numbers of restored Morris Minors on the road today.

Ye Olde Cock Tavern on Fleet Street, London, originally opened its doors on the north side of the street in 1547. It has resided in this agonizingly adorable building since 1887, and was the preferred watering hole of such famous citizens as Samuel Pepys, Charles Dickens, and Dr. Johnson.  bewitchingbritain answered: Well I’m bringing 1500$ for a week, but that includes 500$ for accomodation….

Hmm, tht doesn’t seem too unachievable then… hopefully… ha. Thanks! :)

Actually, on that topic. Does anyone know roughly how much money I’d need for three weeks in England?

I don’t need to pay for accommodation, so it’s just spending money.

I feel like I’ve been neglecting this blog way too much. I’ve had some personal things going on BUT I have travel plans that are arising!

So I got a job (YAY) and I have half the money I need for my plane tickets. I’ll be getting them in a week or two after I’ve been paid. I’m going to Germany for a week and staying in Frankfurt with a friend. Then I’ll fly over to England and stay in London for three weeks! I’ll travel England a little, seeing friends, but I’ll be spending majority of my time in London! I’m so excited! I just have to worry about spending money now, but I don’t mind living on a budget, so I should be fine. HAPPY HAPPY DAYS.

I have an update on my current travel plans! :)

Bare (bear?) in mind I still have no money, but let’s not let that get in the way.

I think I’m going to leave about halfway through May to Germany to stay with a friend for a week. From there I’ll fly to England and stay for 3 weeks in england and Scotland with friends there! and then I think I’ll come back around mid-June. CANNOT WAIT.
